Black Bird

Look! It's black bird! Even though it's really a brown bird with a hint of black. Black bird is what Dru has named our bird that has built her a little home in our tree. Ever since she named her black bird, I can't stop singing the song by the Beatles... "Black bird singing in the dead of night, take these broken wings and fly"... And now Dru knows this song and it has become one of her favorites! Speaking of the Beatles, if you haven't already check out this CD. It is Classic Beatles hits that have been turned into children songs. Talk about a fun CD that children love and both the parents love! I think it is also available for download on itunes. Black bird has become Dru's most recent obsession (along with SHARPIES... yes, our three year old has an obsession with Sharpie markers. Wonderful.) She checks on her every day to see if there might be new little birdies in her nest. We will continue to watch and hopefully we will get to meet momma's three little birds soon!
