July 4th was extra special this year. Dru was thrilled to ride in Jonesborough's 4th of July parade and represent Phil Roe. She was extra cute all decked out in her 4th gear and thought she was really something getting to sit on a float and wave at everyone. Grammy and Happy even came to see her.. what a fun day we all had! And the fire works that night~ Her eyes lit up as soon as she saw the first one burst in the sky!
The morning after July 4th we were on our way to Hilton Head for Dru's first beach trip. And what a great time we had. There is nothing better than watching your childs eyes light up at the first sight of sand and water. We got to watch an alligator that lived outside our beach house, dug a hole so big that Dru made four other friends that could fit in it with her, and met a clown named Lollipop that painted a rose garden on her and made her a rabbit balloon animal! Dru had an absolute blast at the beach and couldn't get enough of it! She didn't want to come home.. and we didn't either!
Here are some pictures from the 4th, our beach week, and a play date with Aunt Tasha's little girl, Mackenzie! Enjoy!
Dru rode the float with her friends Katherine and Caroline. Here she is pictured with sweet little Caroline!
Cutie Patootie!
